Hello!

I’m Brooke Muschott, a writer, artist, and roller skater. I grew up in Silicon Valley but somehow I still ended up a writer instead of a software engineer (though I did spend three years at a tech startup). I’ve been losing sleep to good books ever since I discovered the Boxcar Children in first grade, and watching too much television since the premiere of Pretty Little Liars my freshman year of high school. I write stories with enough detail to swim in, about characters in extraordinary situations dealing with ordinary problems.

When I was sixteen, I walked into my favorite author’s book signing with a list of the inconsistencies in his books and walked out with a job as a continuity editor. I’ve gained more tact since then, but I’m still the writer who will remember that Kara said she hated cats twenty-eight episodes ago, and if we change it to a parakeet it’ll be a nice metaphor in line with episode five.

I have a bachelor’s in creative writing with double minors in studio art and multimedia design from Pepperdine University. I’ve been to every Disney Park in the world, and have worked at Disney Parks on two continents. I love painting sunsets and drawing comics, I drink too much sweet tea, and I can almost land an axel on roller skates.

Just, please, never throw something important toward me and yell ‘catch’. It won’t work out.
